Andrew declared to his parents at age 6 that “he wanted to be like John Travolta when he grew up” and never looked back. After 12 years of musical theater in Vermont (8 of those studying Modern Jazz and Ballet) Andrew headed to NYC at 18 to become a professional. He quickly booked his first acting job as George Stark in the Bill Murray Richard Dreyfuss Comedy “What About Bob?” and although disappointed when he was informed by director Frank Oz that his role had been cut from the final film, Andrew headed to LOS ANGELES determination to find his next big break… Thank to some good luck, a heavy dose of determination and a lot of hard work Andrew has been steadily working ever since.
Andrew’s ability to transition from comedy to intimate drama has resulted in a large body of work and the opportunity to work with some industries greats including: Gale Anne Hurd (The Walking Dead), Bill Murray, Uma Thurman, Lasse Hallström (What’s Eating Gilbert Grape), Kevin Spacey, John Rogers (The Librarians), Jeffery Dean Morgan, Mitch Glazer (Magic City), Dana Brunetti (Fifty Shades of Grey), Aldis Hodge, Dean Devlin (Independence Day), Jason Reitman (Juno) and James Mangold (Logan).
Andrew recently finished work on the comedy feature I HATE KIDS with Tom Everette Scott, Rhea Seahorn and will be seen September 1st, when John Asher’s MULTI-AWARD WINNING independent feature film A BOY CALLED PO hits theaters and VOD nationwide. Andrew plays 5 different incarnations of Po’s friend and guide Jack in the film. Andrew also has the black comedy ALL FOR NIKKI (with Grant Harvey & Gia Mantegna) and in Jennifer Garner’s TRIBES OF PALOS VERDES set for release later this year.
A BOY CALLED PO, is very close to Andrew’s heart as his own son was diagnosed with Autism when he was 3 1/2 and he and his wife of 17 years (award winning photographer Renee Bowen ) have been his tireless champions ever since. You can read their story here.
Andrew’s recent credits include appearances on NCIS and starring as “Reggie” in the horror anthology HOLIDAYS , (currently on Netflix). Some other notable credits include starring opposite Uma Thurman in the Jameson First Shot winning short film ‘THE GIFT’ , recurring roles on Starz’ MAGIC CITY, guest appearances on CRIMINAL MINDS, LEVERAGE, a series regular on MAD TV (where his impressions of Keanu Reeves and Nic Cage are legendary), as AMI’s cantankerous captain in the cult comedy ROCK JOCKS. and Nick Trevor in the “Award Winning” web-series THE DIVISION . An active VO artist, Andrew has lent his voice talents to some of the most successful video games of all time including the voice of Johnny Cage in WB’s hit MORTAL KOMBAT X, Josh Birk/NyteBlayde in the SAINT’S ROW series and Doc in the STAR WAR: THE OLD REPUBLIC.
A writer, director and producer – Andrew’s recently finished his ambitiously scoped comedic, sci fi adventure film THE 716TH. A short film that is a proof-of-concept “glimpse” at the characters and universe of the TV series he is making about the last human medical unit in a futuristic galactic war. He is also developing a half hour, single camera comedy series “Super… Mann?” that has already joined THE ROGUE INITIATIVE production slate for 2017.
A lifelong and openly proud “Geek” (he was raised on Marvel Comics and Star Wars), Andrew is first a foremost a DAD, devoted to his three teenage kids and talented photographer wife.
