Andrew declared to his parents at age 6 that “he wanted to be like John Travolta when he grew up” and never looked back. After 12 years of musical theater in Vermont (8 of those studying Modern Jazz and Ballet) Andrew headed to NYC at 18 to become a professional. He quickly booked his first acting job as George Stark in the Bill Murray Richard Dreyfuss Comedy “What About Bob?” and although disappointed when he was informed by director Frank Oz that his role had been cut from the final film, Andrew headed to LOS ANGELES determination to find his next big break… and hasn’t stopped working since.
Andrew’s ability to transition from broad comedy to intimate drama, a heavy dose of hard work and luck has lead Andrew to work with some the biggest talents in the industry including Gale Anne Hurd (The Walking Dead), Bill Murray, Uma Thurman, Lasse Hallström (What’s Eating Gilbert Grape), Kevin Spacey, Jeffery Dean Morgan, Mitch Glazer (Magic City), Dana Brunetti (Fifty Shades of Grey), Aldis Hodge, Dean Devlin (Independence Day), John Rogers (The Librarians), Jason Reitman (Juno) and James Mangold (The Wolverine).
Andrew recently guest starred on CBS’s number 1 series NCIS, stars as “Reggie” in the twistedly creepy “New Years Eve” segment of the horror anthology HOLIDAYS , (currently on Netflix) which “World Premiered” at the 2016 TRIBECA FILM FESTIVAL , as Megan Nicole’s Father in Relativity/Maker Studio’s musical SUMMER FOREVER and recently finished work on Jennifer Garner’s TRIBES OF PALOS VERDES and the black comedy ALL FOR NIKKI (with Grant Harvey & Gia Mantegna).
November 25th will see the official release of director John Asher’s MULTI-AWARD WINNING feature film PO where Andrew plays 5 different incarnations of Po’s friend and guide Jack. The powerful Autism drama is very close to Andrew’s heart as his own son was diagnosed with Autism when he was 3 1/2 and he and his wife of 17 years (award winning photographer Renee Bowen ) have been his tireless champions ever since.
Some of Andrew’s other credits include recurring roles on Starz’ MAGIC CITY and RENO 911!. As a series regular on MAD TV (where his impressions of Keanu Reeves and Nic Cage are legendary) and as AMI’s cantankerous captain in the cult comedy ROCK JOCKS. Other notable performances include appearances on CRIMINAL MINDS and LEVERAGE, as Nick Trevor in his “Award Winning” web-series THE DIVISION (currently available on Hulu), CONJURER and ‘THE GIFT’ (opposite Uma Thurman, produced by Dana Brunetti & Kevin Spacey). Andrew has also lent his voice talents to some of the most successful video games of all time. He is the voice of Johnny Cage in WB’s hit MORTAL KOMBAT X, Josh Birk/NyteBlayde in the SAINT’S ROW series and Doc in the STAR WAR: THE OLD REPUBLIC to name a few.
Also a screenwriter and director, Andrew is currently in pre-production on a sci-fi proof-of-concept he is directing and producing – and his half hour single camera comedy series “Super… Mann?” will be joining THE ROGUE INITIATIVE 2017 production slate.
A lifelong and openly proud “Geek” (he was raised on Marvel Comics and Star Wars), Andrew is first a foremost a DAD, devoted to his three teenage kids and talented wife who are both are active supporters of Autism charities, research and the ASD Community. You can read their story here.
