Andrew declared to his parents at age six that “he wanted to be like John Travolta when he grew up” and never looked back. After twelve years of musical theater in Vermont (eight of those studying Modern Jazz and Ballet) he headed to NYC at eighteen to become a professional. Thanks to some good luck, determination, a nack for mimicry and a chameleon like ability to disappear into characters (both comedic and dramatic) Andrew has been working ever since – and had the honor of working with talents from Gale Anne Hurd (The Walking Dead), Dana Brunetti (Fifty Shades of Grey), Dean Devlin (Independence Day), John Rogers (The Librarians), Jason Reitman (Juno), to Lasse Hallström (What’s Eating Gilbert Grape) and James Mangold (The Wolverine).
Aside from appearing in over 150 commercials, some of Andrew’s notable credits include: recurring roles on MAGIC CITY, appearances on the hit shows CRIMINAL MINDS, LEVERAGE, his TV “debut” as a series regular on the hit sketch comedy series MAD TV (where his impressions of Keanu Reeves and Nic Cage are legendary) and as Nick Trevor in his award winning web-series THE DIVISION on Hulu. Some of Andrew’s film work include starring in the riotous sci-fi comedy ROCK JOCKS (with Felicia Day & Doug Jones), CONJURER and opposite Uma Thurman in ‘THE GIFT’ (produced by Dana Brunetti & Kevin Spacey).
An active Voice Over artist, Andrew has lent his voice to some of the most successful video games of all time. He is the voice of Johnny Cage in the MORTAL KOMBAT X, Josh Birk/NyteBlayde in the SAINT’S ROW series and “DOC” in the STAR WAR: THE OLD REPUBLIC universe.
In 2016, Andrew will be seen in the horror anthology HOLIDAYS (opposite Lorenza Izzo) the black comedy ALL FOR NIKKI (with Grant Harvey & Gia Mantegna) and John Asher’s powerful Autism drama PO (with Christopher Gorham & Julian Feder). Andrew recently hosted the 2015 Geekie Awards and can currently be seen in Maker Studio’s musical SUMMER FOREVER (with Megan Nicole & Alyson Stoner).
A lifelong Geek (raised on Marvel Comics), a producer, screenwriter and director, Andrew is first a foremost a DAD – devoted to his three kids (all teens now) and wife (award winning photographer Renee Bowen) who he’s been happily married to for 15 years now. Andrew’s eldest son was diagnosed with Autism at age 3 1/2 and he and his wife have been been his tireless champions ever since. They are active supporters of Autism charities, research and the ASD Community. You can read their story here.
Andrew’s goofy wit (often showcased on his his funny Instagram and Vine accounts), generous nature, high standards and ability to bring out the creative best in people has resulted in a loyal fan base supportive of his continued journey as a creator, a comedic leading man, a father and a voice for positive change in the world.
